My research and teaching focus on the formal, functional, cognitive aspects of linguistics, but I am also interested in the interfaces of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. Looking back, I see that most of my essays have had a pragmatic purpose, exploring the implicatures of utterances in certain contexts.
