杭州师范大学加勒比地区研究中心是面向加勒比地区的高水平研究机构与对外文化交流平台，致力于打造中国与加勒比国家之间交流合作的重要桥梁。中心以服务国家“一带一路”倡议和浙江对加勒比地区的经贸文化合作为宗旨，重点开展文化、医疗、经贸、环境等领域的跨学科研究，推动中加之间的深度交流与务实合作。

中心坚持“以点带面、协同创新”的发展思路，整合多学科资源，构建集学术研究、人才培养、高端智库与国际交流于一体的综合平台，积极提升中国在加勒比研究领域的话语权和影响力。

中心设有四大研究方向：中加文化研究、中加医疗合作、中加商贸研究和中加环境研究。未来，中心将在习近平新时代中国特色外交思想引领下，建设专业突出、特色鲜明、影响广泛的研究团队，培养通晓国别、服务国家战略的高层次人才，助力中国与加勒比国家在文明互鉴与共建共享中携手前行。

The Center for Caribbean Studies at Hangzhou Normal University is a high-level research institute and cultural exchange platform dedicated to the Caribbean region. It is committed to building a vital bridge for cooperation and communication between China and Caribbean countries. With a focus on serving China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Zhejiang’s economic and cultural cooperation with the Caribbean, the Center engages in interdisciplinary research across key fields such as culture, healthcare, economic and trade cooperation, and environmental studies, aiming to promote deep and practical exchanges between China and Caribbean nations.

Adhering to a development strategy of “point-to-area linkage and collaborative innovation,” the Center integrates multi-disciplinary resources to establish a comprehensive platform that combines academic research, talent development, think tank construction, and international engagement. It actively enhances China’s discourse power and global influence in the field of Caribbean studies.

The Center is organized around four main research directions: China-Caribbean cultural studies, medical cooperation, economic and trade studies, and environmental research. Looking forward, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy for the New Era, the Center aims to build a professional, distinctive, and influential research team. It is committed to cultivating high-level talents with in-depth knowledge of Caribbean countries and strong service capacity for national strategies, and to advancing mutual learning among civilizations and shared development between China and the Caribbean.
