主讲内容:

Nobody wins a Nobel Prize in literature without having a literary tradition, in which their work is embedded, but also not without transcending that tradition. Therefore, the presentation broadly describes the history of Hungarian literature, with special attention to the Prose Turn, which represented a shift in what was regarded as the center of the Hungarian literary system from nationally engaged poetry to novels of universal concerns. Krasznahorkai is a prolific novelist, who already in his first novel Satantango (1985) created a universall valid vision of the human condition, in his development became a global writer working not only for a global audience but also finding inspiration in various locations around the globe.

主讲人简介:

Peter Hajdu is a distinguished Hungarian scholar of comparative literature, literary theory, and classical philology.
